Halloween cupcakes with sour spider legs

  • 250 g soft butter (125g each for dough and frosting) 
  • 130 g sugar 
  • Vanilla extract 
  • 2 eegs 
  • 100 g flour 
  • 2 tablespoons baking cocoa 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 
  • 1 pinch Salt  
  • 75 ml milk 
  • 200 g cream cheese 
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar 
  • hitschies sour spider legs 
  • Sugar eyes 
  • Food coloring (optional)

Preparation of cupcakes

Prepare muffin tins and preheat oven to 180 degrees (convection oven: 160 degrees).

Mix the butter, sugar and a good dash of vanilla extract together. Add the eggs and mix well, too. Then add the flour with baking cocoa, baking powder and salt and mix alternately with the milk until you get a uniform mixture.

Divide the batter among the muffin cups and bake them in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Then leave to cool.

Preparation for frosting

Mix the cream cheese well with the powdered sugar, butter and vanilla extract. Add food coloring if needed and place in a piping bag.


Cut the spider legs in half and cut these pieces in half lengthwise to make smaller spider legs. Insert these spider legs into the muffins. Then pipe the frosting onto the muffins, forming a small head as well. Finally, put the eyes on mass and ready are the little Halloween spiders.
